LINATE AIRPORT CLOSES FOR THREE MONTHS: ALL THE NEWS

Starting from July 27th, Linate airport will close for about three months. A total stop, therefore, which forced to prepare an alternative plan in time, which provides for a greater turnout of arrivals and departures at Malpensa airport, where most of the flights will be moved.

A plan that also involves the mobility system to the Varese airport, especially considering that the closure of Linate coincides with the summer holidays of millions of Italians and tourists: for this reason also the Malpensa Express, the Trenord train that connects Milan at the airport, in those three months you will see more trains and therefore more seats per day. The estimated increase is of 18,500 daily places: from 39 thousand today to almost 58 thousand, or more than 47 percent.

A new ticket office will also be opened at Malpensa Terminal 1, connected to the Milan Cadorna and Milano Centrale stations with 146 daily departures, one every 15 minutes. This general plan also includes an increase in the number of checks on the roads and motorways, with police and fire brigades to ensure security at the airport.
