
Public transport strike on 21 July
Thursday, the 21st of July a 4 hours strike has been announced by ATM (the company that manages Milan public transport). The strike will be from 6pm until 10pm, it will include buses, subways and trams. So, there might be some inconvenience to Milan Public Transport network.
The strike is proclaimed "Against the liberalization and privatizations of contracts related to the services currently managed by ATM Group, to enhance the cleaning and disinfection of vehicles, and to enhance the protection of the workers that are most exposed to aggressive acts.”
Moreover, the AL COBAS union also calls for a salary increase of 150€ for all workers.
Trenord employees (that is the company controlling regional trains) will not strike, which means that all the trains will perform regular service.
