Duomo Milan is perhaps the main Milan attraction , built starting from the year 1386, it is the largest Cathedral in Italy. A symbol of late-Gothic international architecture, which overlooks the homonymous square – piazza Duomo – and for centuries has astonished citizens and visitors from all over the world with its magnificence. The distinctive features of this splendid Duomo Cathedral are: the white marbles that cover it, the many statues and sculptures, the very colorful glass windows and, above all, the characteristic spiers, which almost seem to touch the sky. Among these, the largest spire, the highest and most imposing one, supports the golden statue symbol of the city of Milan, depicting Madonna Assunta.

Ambrogio, bishop and patron of the city, and formerly linked to the two cathedrals that preceded the construction of the Duomo (Santa Tecla and Santa Maria Maggiore), still visible in part in the same area.
