Public transport strike on January 8th and on January 14th

The new year begins with two public transport strikes. The first strike is scheduled for Saturday, the 8th of January, and it will involve Trenitalia employees. The strike will last 8 hours, from 9.01 to 16.59. On strike day, Trenitalia will guarantee minimum transport services (a list of guaranteed trains is available on the company's website >).

The second strike is going to be on Friday, January the 14th. On this day, four hours of local public transport strike have been called nationwide, throughout Italy. A strike that has been organized in support of the right to renew the workers’ contracts and improve their working conditions.

On January 14th in Milan, ATM employees will be the ones striking. All Milan public transports (subways, buses and trams) will risk being suspended during the four hours strike.
